SARAH JAMES ROMAN is an interdisciplinary artist based in Chicago, working primarily in painting, mixed media, fiber, and sculpture. She attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before moving to Chicago to continue her BFA at the School of the Art Institute. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she draws her ideas from navigating queer identity and Asian diaspora in the suburban gothic landscape of Americana.
